So I am having a bit of a difficult time finding a transmission that will work to back the SHO in my Crapri.

Do any of you happen to know of any other transmissions that bolted onto Vulcan V6 engines?

Or do you know if the Vulcan V6 bell housing pattern was the same as the Cologne V6 pattern? Perhaps the smallblock Ford pattern so I could use a T-5?

Better yet, do any Ontario Opponautos between Toronto and Ottawa have a junk Ranger/B2000/Aerostar with a 5-speed lying around? Or know a wrecker that has one at a reasonable price? I'd need the trans, clutch, drive shaft and probably the clutch pedal just to be safe.

Flintstoning it is getting old.

So I found this youtube video of a Taurus SHO converted to rwd. It has terrible music, be forewarned.

The description on the video says it has a "WC T5 transmission," which according to this forum post is a Borg Warner "World Class" T5 from an '88-'92 Camaro/Firebird.

No word on what sort of work was necessary to mate it up to the SHO engine in this car though.

This forum post claims a T5 from a Ford (Mustang?) will bolt up to the SHO V6 with the use of a Ford Aerostar bell housing.

Here's a forum post listing a bunch of other forum posts about putting an SHO motor in a Miata. Might have something about transmissions.

well, the T5 they used would be the same Borg warner as I have in the garage, and would need an adapter, which I don't have the money for. And the aerostar bell housing is from the M5OD that I was planning on using in the first place. Lol

That forum post is a gold mine though. Thanks man.
